Yes, mochimon for Layton fits a lot. Now i don't remember, I know a baby can turn into different digimon according to how it is cared. I don't think tentomon would fit the professah. Do you remember to what else can Mochimon evolve to?

Also luke and patamon, yes, just YES! (And rose would have gatomon :3)

Descole would totally have a demidevimon (That would evolve to a badass Beelzemon)
